SU Istanbul 2025: Discover the soul and magic of the city
Get ready to party on a boat, sip Sextanbul cocktails and explore Istanbul’s maze-like streets! AEGEE-Istanbul is bringing the summer heat back – and you’re invited. The Summer University “Labyrinth of the Seven Hills” will take place from 18 to 28 July 2025.
GT: Why did you choose the motto “Labyrinth of the Seven Hills”?
AEGEE-Istanbul: We chose the title because of Istanbul’s unique geography and rich history. You can lose yourself in this incredible and mystical labyrinth – an immersive adventure awaits! Exploring its legendary hills and maze-like streets allows participants to uncover hidden gems, breathtaking views and ancient stories while experiencing the magic of the city.
GT: What will be the main thematic highlights?
AEGEE-Istanbul: This event invites participants to explore Istanbul’s cultural richness through a Turkish coffee workshop, where they can experience the art of traditional brewing and presentation. A Turkish language workshop helps participants understand the city’s historical essence through words while gaining basic communication skills. An eco-responsibility workshop introduces sustainable living practices in Istanbul – together, these workshops offer a holistic experience of heritage, language and environmental awareness.
GT: Which cities and landmarks will you visit?
AEGEE-Istanbul: Our event takes place entirely in Istanbul. The main highlights are a boat party, a camping experience, and of course, sightseeing across this beautiful city!
GT: What else will you do for fun?
AEGEE-Istanbul: We’ve got a range of fun and entertaining theme parties lined up for the nights in the city. No one will regret joining us – and we’ll make sure everyone parties like a true AEGEEan!
GT: What is the participation fee and what does it include?
AEGEE-Istanbul: The fee is 250 euros, with an optional fee of 50 euros. It covers 10 days of accommodation, two meals per day, access to the boat party, camping, and entry to all the main listed locations on our event page. The optional fee includes additional tourist attractions, like the Basilica Cistern and Miniatürk.
GT: Who is your ideal participant?
AEGEE-Istanbul: Of course, we welcome everyone who wants to be part of this marvellous event! BUT – we especially want to see people with true AEGEEan spirit: energetic explorers who won’t get tired while sightseeing this beautiful city, and who know how to have fun the AEGEE way!
GT: What makes AEGEE-İstanbul special or famous?
AEGEE-Istanbul: We’re known for our unforgettable boat parties on the beautiful Bosphorus, where you cruise between two continents – Asia and Europe. The views and photos from that night will be unforgettable – plus, the dancing is wild! And of course, don’t miss our mysterious cocktail: Sextanbul! If it’s your first time… beware: one sip and you’ll be addicted!
