SU Brno & Prague: “Cinematic Experience for 24 participants”
The Summer University title “Czechflix” is very fitting, because the participants will learn a lot about cinema and Czech Republic. If you also want to experience parties that The Great Gatsby would be jealous of, apply for this event. The dates: 4 to 14 July 2024.
GT: What is the main topic of your SU this year?
SU Team: An exclusive backstage pass to the coolest summer in the Czech Republic, featuring different cinematic themes every day, together with AEGEE-Academy workshops and the best vibe, all in four different cities.
GT: Why did you choose the topic?
SU Team: Everybody deserves to experience the sensation of being in a movie at least once in a lifetime so we aim to fulfill this cinematic experience for a group of 24 participants. Let’s embrace the magic of the silver screen and let your life unfold like a captivating movie, where every scene is a masterpiece waiting to be discovered.
GT: What will be the thematic highlights?
SU Team: Each day, you’ll wake up to a new genre and with our bespoke cinematic themes, every morning will feel like the opening scene of a new adventure. As part of your experience with us, you’ll be involved in academy workshops, where you’ll learn skills that could rival any secret agent’s toolkit. We’re talking about leadership, teamwork, and maybe even a bit of Czech – because why not add “multilingual” to your list of protagonist traits?
GT: Which cities and landmarks will you visit?
SU Team: We’ll start in the historic streets of Prague, visit the beer capital of Pilsen, enjoy the beauty of the cave systems in Macocha and to top it off – immerse ourselves in the vibrant nightlife of Brno.
GT: What else will you do for fun?
SU Team: Have you ever tried preparing traditional Czech dishes? Have you ever experienced a scary night full of surprises? Have you ever got a chance to feed Lamas and take a cute photo with them? If the answer is no, take the opportunity to experience it all with us!
GT: How much is the fee and what is included in it?
SU Team: The fee for staying 10 days with us is 192 Euros. As mentioned before, you’ll get to see four stunning cities – Prague, Pilsen and Brno and enjoy the mysterious charm of the cave systems of Macocha. You’ll be provided with two meals per day and enjoy the comfort of sleeping at dorms and a hostel. Moreover, you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy our specially chosen social activities and workshops.
GT: How much is the optional fee and what is included in it?
SU Team: The optional fee is 45 Euros and it includes a day trip to Pilsen and Pilsen brewery tour and visit of Macocha Abyss cave system featuring stunning limestone formations and underground rivers.
GT: Who is the ideal participant?
SU Team: We are seeking passionate and enthusiastic people who are eager to immerse themselves in a real-life adventure movie with parties that The Great Gatsby would be jealous of. Of course, while developing their soft skills and having an unforgettable summer
