SU Bakı 2023: “Multiculturalism and Tolerance are Timely Topics”

GT: What is the main topic of your SU this year?
AEGEE-Bakı: Hey there, adventure enthusiasts! This year, our SU is centered around the important and timely topic of multiculturalism and tolerance.

GT: Why did you choose the topic?
AEGEE-Bakı: We’ve chosen to focus on this awesome theme because it fits perfectly with our goal of immersing participants in the cultural splendors of the East and West. By promoting multiculturalism and tolerance, we hope to create a more connected and empathetic global community, and inspire our participants to become advocates for positive change.

GT: What will be the thematic programme highlights?
AEGEE-Bakı: We’ve planned visits to historical and cultural centers, thematic parties, and engaging workshops where you can learn about the traditions and practices of the Azerbaijani people. So be ready for language and calligraphy workshops, multiculturalism and tolerance workshops, music and dance workshops, and much more! We’re all about creating a transformative experience that will stay with you long after the SU has ended.

GT: Let’s talk about the leisure part of your SU. Which cities and landmarks will you visit?
AEGEE-Bakı: Our leisure program is just as epic as our thematic program! You’ll get to explore Azerbaijan’s historic and beautiful landmarks, soak up the sunsets on the Caspian Sea, visit Baku – known as the “Eastern Paris” – and discover Sheki, the country’s newest Unesco Heritage Site with its charming streets, museums, and bazaar.

GT: What will you do for fun?
AEGEE-Bakı: At our SU, we believe in having a blast while learning and exploring. Be ready for cultural nights, talent shows, and plenty of social activities and games to keep you entertained. From experiencing the local cuisine to dancing the night away, we’ve got it all covered.

GT: How much is the fee and what is included in it?
AEGEE-Bakı: We’re providing an incredible value for such an immersive and exciting experience! The fee for our SU is just 196 Euro, which includes accommodation, two meals per day, part of transportation, and all thematic and leisure activities.

GT: How much is the optional fee and what is included in it?
AEGEE-Bakı: For an additional 50 Euro, you can join us on optional visits to additional landmarks like the Heydar Aliyev Center and the Surakhani Ship Museum, as well as a surprise trip that will leave you speechless.
