SU Ankara 2023: “Spectacular nature and amazing culture”
The Summer University of AEGEE-Ankara, “SUn Rises from East”, is traditionally one of the last ones in the calendar. It offers a wide variety of great cultural activities and take you to beautiful spots. The dates: 4-18 September 2023.
GT: What is the main topic of your SU?
AEGEE-Ankara: Our main topic is culture and nature.
GT: Why did you choose it?
AEGEE-Ankara: We chose it because our country supports both natural and cultural events.
GT: What will be the greatest thematic highlights?
AEGEE-Ankara: Since the SU’s main aim is cultural exchange, there will be discussions and workshops which will reflect best the soul of SU. In addition, we will take our participants to a Turkish bath, a yacht tour, museums and a ceramic workshop.

GT: Let’s talk about the leisure part of your SU. What are the highlights in this area?
AEGEE-Ankara: We have leisure time every day after the thematic programme ends, with the help of us organizers. To be more specific, we will have sightseeing in every city, go to the sea-side, Çanakkale and Balıkesir, and we will make time for sunbathing and swimming.
GT: What will you do for fun?
AEGEE-Ankara: We are going to do a pubcrawl, mud bath, Turkish bath and mangal for fun.
GT: How much is the fee and what is included in it?
AEGEE-Ankara: Our event includes two meals per a day, accommodation and all fun activities. The fee is 196 Euro.
GT: How much is the optional fee?
AEGEE-Ankara: The optional fee of 50 Euro covers a yacht tour and a ceramic workshop.

GT: Who is the ideal participant?
AEGEE-Ankara: The ideal participants are open-minded, sociable like to have fun together.
GT: What can you tell us about your AEGEE local, what makes it special or famous?
AEGEE-Ankara: Our AEGEE antenna is one of the oldest ones in our network. Our knowledge gives us the power to move on while continuing the AEGEE culture. Also, our members are attached to each other with a strong family or friendship bond!
